Eresha's World

Savitha Sastry in a still from 'A Song for Eresha'
Blurry Forest

My name is Eresha.

Eresha - it means the Goddess of Learning

And in this beautiful hamlet by the river

My students and I - we lived, laughed, loved

and rewrote history through art

And in return, they wrote a song for their Goddess

A Song for Eresha

A requiem for celestials

An exquisite experience that follows a forbidden love story inside the walls of a highly acclaimed and orthodox school of arts. As much a reverential bow to classical Indian arts as a poignant, artistic and disturbing story of individuals caught in the throes of emotions, this unique feature is populated with over a 100 dancers from India, and has a starcast of almost exclusively women.
